Privacy and accessibility
What this site collects, why, and what happens to it, and how it’s built to work for everyone.
I’m Janay Brunson, and this site is run by my travel advising business, Fly Black Girls Fly, LLC. This page explains what information I collect, how I use it, and the choices you have.
What I collect
When you send a message
The contact form asks for your name, your email address, and your message. They’re emailed to my inbox through Resend, an email delivery service, so I can reply. I don’t add you to a mailing list.
When you book a consultation
Bookings and payments are handled by Square. I see your name, your contact details, and your booking, but never your full card number. Consultations happen on Zoom. Square and Zoom collect and protect your information under their own privacy policies: Square’s and Zoom’s.
When we plan a trip
When you work with me, I collect what I need to plan and book your trip, such as the travelers’ names, your dates, your preferences, and, when a booking calls for them, details like dates of birth, passport information, or the card you’re paying with. I share these only with the hotels, airlines, cruise lines, and tour operators you choose, and only as needed to make your bookings. I never use your payment information without your permission first.
When you visit the site
The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see how people use it, for example which pages are read and which buttons are pressed. Google Analytics uses cookies for this. It doesn’t tell me who you are, and its advertising features are turned off. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland are measured without cookies. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services, or install Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
The site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and browser types, for a short time to run and protect the site.
Other than Google Analytics, and Square on the booking page, no other companies collect information about your activity on this site. Google and Square handle that information under their own policies, which may include what you do on other sites.
How I use it
I use your information to reply to you, to provide the services you book, and to make the site better. I don’t sell or rent your information. I share it only with the services named above, with the travel companies you book with, or when the law requires it.
How long I keep it
I keep messages, booking records, and trip details for as long as I need them to work with you and to keep my business records. Google Analytics keeps its detailed data for up to 14 months.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information I hold about you. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
The site doesn’t change how it works in response to Do Not Track signals from browsers, since there’s no common standard for them.
Minors
This site is meant for adults, and I don’t knowingly collect information from minors under the age of 18.
Changes
If this policy changes, I’ll update this page and the date at the top.
Accessibility
I want everyone to be able to use this site. It aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA: it works with a keyboard and with screen readers, it respects your device’s reduced motion setting, and every photo has a description. If something doesn’t work for you, please tell me and I’ll fix it.
